Back in the day

Growing up in a small, picturesque town in Connecticut, I knew from an early age my dreams were meant to expand on a global level. Attending New York University provided that opportunity with its top notch education and various worldwide study abroad programs. Florence, Italy was the perfect fit for a semester that fed my curiosity for music, art, cinema and the Italian language.

After studying jazz performance on alto saxophone and finishing my undergraduate years with a Bachelor's of Science, Communications degree, Minor in Music, I decided to thank New York City for its fascinating time and move on to Florence, Italy. I’ve been a European transplant for 20 years!

MY PARALLEL LIFE IN Music

In my free time I'm an active musician and vocalist leading and collaborating on various projects in Florence's rich underground music scene. With my rock-blues band, Alchemy Daze, I've played many Italian music festivals and local shows while composing and co-producing my first album of original music, "Along for the Ride."

As the saxophonist and vocalist in my former progressive funk project Sushi Rain, my "Firebird" alter ego flourishes on the group's second album "Cocktail."

With longtime friend and blues brother, Alessandro Gerini, I'm also a member of the renowned electro-jazz gospel choir Vocal Blue Trains as well as Vice President of the homonymous cultural association.

AND… YOU MUST KNOW, I LOVE TO EAT

If there's a wine or food event you will most likely find me there talking, tasting and schmoozing. Italy has amazing foodie locations and I love exploring them all. Some of my favorites would be Bolgheri, any small town in the Chianti region and the picturesque Maremma region in southern Tuscany.
